The goal of the project “Young people co-design their cities and the future of Europe” is to train and raise the awareness of youth leaders from Albania, Kosovo and Europe on how they themselves and young people in general can become co-designers of public spaces in their cities and of the future of Europe.
The specific objectives of the project are:
a. Mobilize 21 youth leaders from Albania, Kosovo and Europe to discuss, elaborate and explore ways how young people can participate in the design and development of public spaces
b. Prepare and present three project-ideas to improve three public spaces, identified in cooperation with Tirana City Hall.
Successful implementation of the project and its media coverage, at home and abroad, will contribute to the development of a new approach to youth and public spaces, in the face of declining youth participation and the non-involvement of young people in decision-making.
The project aims to provide youth leaders with valuable skills and competencies that will help them engage and empower other young people, and act as youth advocates.
